Description
The oil has been slowly hydrodistilled from the resin of the tree Commiphora guidottii from Ethiopia. Also called as Sweet Myrrh, it has the characteristic scent of the resin; warm, resinous and earthy, with sweet overtones reminiscent of the soursop fruit.
The oil is rich in sesquiterpenes, especially furanosesquiterpenes, such as 1, 10(15)-furanogermacradien-6-one and rel-3R-methoxy-4Sfuranogermacra-1E,10(15)-dien-6-one.
